Take a Path Less Traveled

September 28, 2017 // R. Shawn McBride // No Comments »

R. Shawn McBride recently spoke about choosing a path less traveled and building skills that are less common.

Hi, folks, it’s Shawn here with you. You know, the famous quote out there, about taking the path less traveled and how all the difference it made. You know, we each get to pick our paths in life, and many people don’t think they do, but those of us that are empowered understand that we have lots of choices, we get to pick our direction at different times. And the paths we pick can be so critical, and so important to where we end up. We need to pick affirmatively where we’re going.

When we pick paths that are less traveled, what do we do? We build skills that are less common. We get experiences that are more unique and that leads to more value that we can provide to others. We can help them. We’ve talked about working with others, and asking questions, and learning, and helping. And when we travel a different path, we have great experiences to share. We can become a better teammate, a better business partner, a better working relationship, a better-trusted advisor. So what am I saying? I’m saying, think about traveling a path that other people don’t go.

Do the things that are uniquely you. Be yourself. Embrace your greatness. And when you do that, you’re going to build skills and abilities and talents that can ripple. Don’t think about what everybody else is doing, think about what should I be doing, what makes sense in my world. How do I lift myself up; how do I become more powerful? And how do I help those around me, my clients, my friends, those who are listening to me, do more?

I want you to take the path of empowerment. I want you to get to greatness. And that means picking a path that’s authentic to you that’s going to lift you up.

How can we help you on this path? Let me know. Email me, check me out at McBride for Business. Go to the R. Shawn McBride Fan Page on Facebook. I’m really just giving tools and resources to people. People bring me in for highly specialized coaching, consulting, working on specific legal issues. I’m there for that, I’m here for you when you need it, but here’s all this information that I’m learning, as I journey, from my clients, from my past journey, and I’m giving it out to everybody because I want to do more. As I see clients have issues, I make these videos. As people ask me questions, I get them out there, general topics, – not giving away the clients’ information – but helping all of us do more. And let me know how I can help you do more. I’m R. Shawn McBride, I’m signing off, but I want to hear from you soon.
