Why are you called “The Our Shawn” now?

Why are people calling you “The Our Shawn”?

You may have noticed that on LinkedIn and Twitter my account now says “The Our Shawn.”

This is a natural evolution of branding.

Starting out in speaking everyone called me “Shawn McBride” which is a fine name. But there are other speakers named Shawn McBride.

Since I use my middle name I couldn’t add my middle initial like many people do. So I started using “R. Shawn McBride” in my printed materials.

A few of my fans started calling me “Our Shawn McBride”.  As we continue the journey of Do Business Differently(™) I am starting to use “The Our Shawn” in printed materials.  I am pretty sure there are no other The Our Shawn’s speaking right now.

So there it is…

Drop me a note and let me know about something unusual you do.
