Let’s Do More for Women in Business

December 7, 2017 // R. Shawn McBride // No Comments »

R. Shawn McBride recently spoke about women in business.

Hey, folks, it’s Shawn here bringing you a message I love, and that’s let’s do more for women in business. You know, I gave a TEDx Talk on the advantages of women in business. We have a link back to TEDx where we have a copy of the video. If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out.

I think women have real advantages in business. There are things that women do differently than men, based on research studies, not just stereotypes, but based on actual research studies, women tend to do certain things differently than men. That is just the nature of it, and I think we should be looking at those points of greatness and emphasizing them. We should all be building on our greatness, and women have great characteristics in business and I think we need to build on it. So let’s do more as a team and as a group. We have a great community at our Shawn McBride fan page here on Facebook. Let’s all think about how we can do more for business and more for women and how can we help build better businesses, because I think everybody wins. When women are more engaged, they feel like they’re at home in a business and they move forward.

So many traditions in business are male dominant, male-oriented, and the world’s changing. I think we’re getting more emotion and more ideas and thoughts and feelings into business. As we have computers take over more and more of the logical roles, I think the real piece of business that’s emerging these days is kind of emotional, interconnected, and psychological. We see a lot of growth in those areas, communication, and people working together. These are things that women have strengths in, men have strengths in as well, but let’s celebrate the women. Let’s think about what we can do more.

How can we all work together to do more? I’d love for you to write to me directly with your thoughts and ideas. Let’s talk about it, let’s socialize the ideas. If you have thoughts on my TEDx video, let me know. Check out the Shawn McBride fan page on Facebook. Subscribe to the McBride for Business YouTube channel. You know, start consuming our material and let me know what we can do better and what you need and I want to work with you.

Write to me, let me know how I can help you, you know, whether it’s just informally answering a question in a video, whether it’s one on one coaching, counseling, strategy sessions with you and your company or maybe some training or keynotes. Whatever you need, we can get this information to you – we can do more. I’d love to work with some women business leaders, in addition to ones we’re already working with so we can do more and grow our organizations and really get out there and do some great things in the business world.
