May 5, 2017 // R. Shawn McBride // No Comments »

R. Shawn McBride recently spoke about the advantages of women in business. Here is the transcript:

Good morning folks, R. Shawn McBride with you here live. Today, we are going to be celebrating the advantages of women in business. Building off the themes of the Tedx Talk I did in October of 2016, which is now available at We are going to be talking about what women do great in business today. I have a line-up of great people . . . women that have succeeded, who have done cutting edge things with their business, that found that work life balance and they’re going to be talking about that. It’s going to be a great forum for people to interact. We’re going to play my Tedx video later today and we’re going to have a group discussion about what women really do great in business.

This is a passionate topic for me. Would love your thoughts and ideas on what women do great in business, something that I really love. Of course, the 50 state tour that I’m conducting is going to have themes of talking about women in business. That’s going to be one of the four major categories of businesses we’re interviewing coast to coast. If you know of a great woman-owned business of a business that’s very helpful to women, would love to have them involved in the 50 state tour. Of course, if you know groups, I would love to get that Tedx video out to more people and spread that message. Of course, speak to groups about the advantages of women in business or how women can work with men in business. That’s a new topic that we’re launching, that we’ve had some interest in. Women want to know how do I work well with men in the organization, how do I do more.

Women in business is what we’re celebrating today. It’s Equal Pay Day. We’re taking a very positive attitude. We believe women can do more in business. We want to see them do more. Reach out. Let me connect some dots for you if this is an area of interest for you. Just say hi. Let me know what you’re doing. Drop some comments on the video. Send me a note and let’s talk about what women are doing in business because it’s something I think we should celebrate. Of course, if you have a group or an organization that would benefit from a discussion on this, I would love to come there and speak or facilitate or do some training within your corporation. Let me know what you need. I’m here to be on your team. Would love to help you. R. Shawn McBride signing off.

Looking forward to a great event celebrating women in business and looking forward to doing the next one with you. Just let me know when and where. Talk to you soon.
